So, Daddy let BJ and Buckeye out to go potty before bed - like me they have to go so there are no accidents. He waited a few go to let them back in, Buckeye comes in, BJ goes off across the lawn away from him. This upset Daddy a little but he decided to wait a few more minutes then go to get BJ...only he couldn't find him! He looked EVERYWHERE - behind the garage, under my's slide, under my ramp, inside the grill cover (which is of course off the grill). You name it he looked there. Only thing he can figure is there is about a really small square with no fence and MAYBE BJ got out of the back yard.
So he and Mommy both go out at 9:30 or so with flashlights trying to find BJ. Up one side of the street, down the other. Check out the common area behind my house etc. All this wakes me up of course and I come down to "help" Mommy. Mommy is crying because we can't find him and are fearing the worst (he likes to hide under things and we have some nice big concrete storm culverts near us and well...) Anyway, Daddy runs into a neighbor and without question they go get flashlights and volunteer to join the search. Daddy sends Mommy back home to take me inside - much too late for me to be up right? - while he and the neighbor start looking.
And that is when Mommy shouts out 'Found him!'. Remember how I said the grill cover was not on the grill? Well Daddy had looked behind the grill but there is only about 3/4 of an inch exposed under the grill so there was NO WAY he could be there right? Right? Well he was. Apparently in the back it is about a 2-3 inch exposed area that the people that made it didn't see the need in covering.
It has become BJ's favorite hiding place when he thinks he might be in trouble.
